September 19, 2011 Southeastern, New Hampshire Chokecherry harvest. They are very tasty as long as given plenty of time to ripen (or even over-ripen). I did not find enough to make jam.

May 21, 2012 Southeastern, New Hampshire Choke Cherry has 8-11 pairs of veins on the leaves. Black Cherry (Prunus serotina) has more than 15 pairs of veins on the leaves.
