August 28, 2011 Southeastern, New Hampshire Fat-looking pale yellow flowers with five petals. I added a close-up of the flower to the last picture in the table below. Leaves are alternate, sharply-toothed, narrowly oval or narrowly elliptical. Plant can grow up to 28 inches tall. Notice how the lower stem curves around for almost 12 inches before going underground.
